Hispanic Heritage Month runs September 15 to October 15. With such a diverse Hispanic community in Kearny, Beyond the Plate is leading you on a food tour of some of the best restaurants and bakeries to sample their labors of love!

Some of these families have been feeding Kearny for decades. Others opened in the last two years. You’ll hear their stories first-hand.

After the sold out inaugural launch of Kearny Kravings in 2025, Beyond the Plate and Kearny Urban Enterprise Zone are proud to present the second edition highlighting the hispanic-owned food business community in Kearny. This time we will be going from location to location by bus!

What to Know Before You Go

All Ages Welcomed: Unlike some drinking tours, this food and drink event welcomes participants of all ages.
Dietary Restrictions: Due to the fixed tasting menus, specific dietary restrictions cannot be accommodated.
Footwear and Standing: We travel between stops by bus, but wear comfortable shoes since some locations may only have standing room available.
Weather Policy: This tour will take place rain or shine, so please dress accordingly.
