Kearny Kravings: International Dessert Crawl
In collaboration with the the Kearny Urban Enterprise Zone (KUEZ), we’re kicking off our first ever all-sweets tour in Kearny, NJ. Yes, you read that right. Kearny 🙂
Taste your way through this unexpectedly diverse Hudson County town with mini desserts, drinks, and a few extra surprises along the way. On this guided walking tour, you’ll visit five woman-owned eateries, each showcasing authentic sweets and drinks from Brazil, Portugal, Colombia, Peru, and more. No passport required!
Tickets
Must be purchased in advance. No refunds. If you can’t make it, please email info@beyondtheplatefoodtours.com with at least 72-hour notice, and a credit will be issued for the amount purchased. Tour will be rescheduled if severe weather is expected.

What to Expect

- All dessert tastings and select alcoholic drink pairings (two) included in your ticket.
- Led by NJ local tour guides who always ensure both a delicious and informative experience.
- You’ll leave with a full belly, a custom cooler bag for your leftovers, and a new appreciation for this delightfully diverse town.
- This tour is not just about satisfying your sweet tooth—it’s an edible passport celebrating immigrant stories, family traditions, and female entrepreneurship.
- Tour duration is approximately 3 hours.

- Dietary restrictions can NOT be accommodated on this tour however, this tour is vegetarian friendly and non-alcoholic options at the last location can be arranged.
- Comfortable walking shoes are recommended as we’ll be exploring on foot and some locations may be standing only.
- This tour will take place rain or shine, so please dress accordingly.

Vegetarian Friendly: Though restricted diets are not supported, the dessert menus are vegetarian friendly.
Footwear and Standing: Wear comfortable shoes for walking; some stops may only have standing room.
Weather Policy: This event runs rain or shine, so make sure to dress for the outdoor elements.
Strict Cancellation Policy: Tickets are non-refundable, and a 72-hour notice is strictly required to receive a future credit.
